It’s that time of year...New Years Resolutions!Some of the most common involve 2 of my fav things...EXERCISE & DIET! 💪🏼💗🎉😄
It can be easy to start off motivated & strong, but much harder to maintain & statistically most people give up within a few weeks. 😟 My best advice is don’t overdo it on the front end & deprive yourself, take it nice & easy & make it manageable & sustainable! Baby steps! 
Find your WHY! When I was working as a personal trainer this is one of the first things I would discuss w/my clients. You have to have a reason, something to motivate you & push you & make you WANT to stick with the positive changes you made.
BELIEVE in yourself, you CAN do it!💪🏼
A little dietary recommendation...DRINK YOUR GREENS! I make one of the smoothies almost every day: a ton of spinach, plant-based vanilla Protien powder, mixed berries (or really whatever fruit you have on hand works!), almond milk (or a splash of apple juice or little bit of honey for added flavor/sweetness), then add water & ice & BLEND! It’s absolutely delicious!

Y’all...I have to brag on my girl Katie Newkirk Evans!!! She was my friend & classmate at USAFA, and is now a wife, mommy, & badass AF officer! I’ve been following her health & fitness journey...what I love about it is that she maintains that healthy balance of proper nutrition (with chest days!) and exercise, and is getting those results!💪🏼 No fad diet, nothing crazy or extreme...just good old fashioned hard work! For Friday, an ascending ladder workout!
Start with 1 repetition of each movement, then do 2 repetitions, 3 repetitions, etc until you get to 10! If that is too easy feel free to work your way back down the ladder!
- Squats
- Pushups
- Leg Raises

For Thursday, a burpee challenge! Knock out 100 burpees throughout the day (break them up into sets and it’s not so daunting)!
Scale total # to your fitness level (maybe you want to do 50 total or 20 total, etc). Feel free to do additional ones as well!
Burpees are a great total body move, you’ll work alllll the things! If you google “burpee form” or “burpee modifications” you will find several variations of the move...do the one thats best for YOU!

Mini Circuit for Wednesday!💪🏼
- Jumping Jacks
- Forward Lunges (alternating legs)
- Mountain Climbers
- Tricep Dips (from chair or floor)
***Start with 25 reps of each, then 20, 15, 10, & 5. Go back up the ladder for a more “advanced” version!

It's so easy to beat ourselves up in regards to our appearance, and what we wish we looked like (or did not look like). We will NEVER be perfect, but we are fearfully & wonderfully made!

Awesome shoulder/arm workout, give this song a try! Full disclosure, I did it on the bike today with NO weights and my shoulders were on fire!🔥 no need to even be on a bike, just give it a try for a generic standing shoulder and arm workout!
