EIU Panther Color Guard Panther Marching Band Color Guard is a vital piece of EIU tradition. We also have a winterguard that competes!! John. Follow all our social media.

Guard members attend band camp, have multiple weekly practices, perform at all Panther Football home games as well as parades and exhibitions throughout the year. Our Guard members

are talented with flags, rifles and dance. Membership is decided by auditions held in the Spring for all EIU and Lakeland Community College students. Instagram-eiu_colorguard

Faythe, our feature twirler, has been very busy this summer! Here is what she has been doing!!

“I went to AYOP that’s held at Notre Dame University in South Bend Indiana. I went for collegiate solo, down the field, and I also competed with my team the Razzle Dazzles gaining a national and grand national title in show crops with props and scenery.”

The Eastern Illinois University Panther Marching Band is the sound and spirit of Eastern Illinois University, bringing energy, pride, and tradition to every game day and campus celebration. Your support helps the PMB continue making that impact for current students and future Panthers.

(Charleston, IL) – WEIU announces the 2026 WEIU Radio and TV Center’s Daniel E. Marvin Jr. Scholarships. These annual awards are awarded to WEIU TV and Radio students who excel at WEIU and the classroom. Marvin served as Eastern Illinois University's fifth sitting president from 1977 to 1983 and approved the establishment of WEIU in 1983.
This year’s recipients are Junior in broadcast journalism, Olivia Bennett of Charleston, Junior in Sports Media Relations Austin Perez of Tolono, Illinois, and Sophia Artman who is from Bloomington, Illinois and is a Television video production major. Bennett works for WEIU News Watch, while Perez and Artman work for WEIU News Watch and Hit-Mix 88.9 WEIU.(Pictured left to right: Bennett, Perez and Artman)
