This picture says a thousand words: The fine balancing act of impossibility many active duty service women play between serving this great nation and serving their families. But we are models—not martyrs—for our leaders, our teams, our children, our families, our life partners, and most importantly, OURSELVES. Whatever we do to stay true to ourselves and our pursuit of happiness is our own damn business. And I salute and honor all the women who continue to serve and sacrifice wearing the uniform. And I salute the women who have separated or retired and continue to serve in their own ways... as an active duty spouse and/or civil servant like myself... or as an advocate for our military members.



It was the greatest decision to raise my right hand 11 years ago and serve as a combat broadcast journalist for eight years. It was also the greatest decision three years ago to bow out gracefully and continue to thrive and evolve as a civil servant, entrepreneur and active duty spouse.



I am so grateful for my journey. I am continually thankful for my husband, James, and my handsome “three”nager, Roman. And, believe it or not, I am excited for our next chapter in Dover, Delaware, and the personal and professional growth that will bring us all.



Honor Your Journey. Do the things that scare you. Stay true to yourself and your pursuit of happiness.

I am so thankful to share service with my Grandfathers, my Daddeo, my sister, my brother-in-law/Bromigo, my brothers, my sister-in-law (and secretly, Superwoman) and never forget, my mother for her service as an active duty spouse for over 20 years. For James’s Grandfather, cousin and father who served... What a life. What a legacy. What an honor to share such a unique and incredible experience. Happy Veterans Day to you and yours. Thank you to my brothers and sisters in arms.

Roman and I held Dad’s mission flag as he re-enlisted indefinitely. A flag that has flown with him all over the world for 13 years and will continue to follow us as he serves this great nation. Roman even clapped when he found out Dad is giving him his GI Bill with this new commitment. 😂 (Shhh... don’t tell Roman!!! We don’t want to raise a slacker.) 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 We love you, Dad, and will continue serving with you. Amazing to sew on Master Sergeant in two months! Thank you for your continued service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

After a rough couple of weeks with ongoing female health concerns and doctors visits, healing but needed hard conversations with family, COVID scares, and facing the reality of 99% moving next summer (because that happens when you’re military lol), I was finding it really difficult to find the motivation to get back in the garage (aka gym.) Only this time, I gave myself the space to feel and to heal from the inside out. I didn’t beat myself up on the days I just wanted to sleep or sit on the couch a little longer. I just decided to listen to my body and my mind and give it what it needs. What an incredible concept. What a feeling of freedom and for the first time, giving myself true grace. 🤍🤍🤍
And so today, I come back to this space that I know is so good for my mind, my spirit and my body. And I give a shameless plug to for her workout app. Thank gawd for her workout library and ass kicking HIIT workouts! 🤍🤍🤍 Take time to listen to your body today and give it what it NEEDS; not what you THINK the world wants from you. Your body is begging to connect with you... are you listening, friend? 🤍🤍🤍

Beautiful book, words, author, dreams and a sharing of vulnerability and authenticity that is so rare these days; even in the moments we actually have the capacity and capability to connect with humans and even sweeter—women. ❣️❣️❣️ This is a must-read and never have I felt more like a god damn cheetah than I do now. But even more so, I want to know myself even greater; my most true and beautiful self and the world I continue to manifest. ❣️❣️❣️ Cheers to all the beautiful, rare, uncaged cheetahs walking this earth.
