Charles City County Public Schools Mourns the Loss of School Board Member Royce Paige

It is with deep sadness that Charles City County Public Schools shares the passing of Mr. Royce Paige, a dedicated member of our School Board and a steadfast advocate for the students, families, and community of Charles City County.
For more than two decades, Mr. Paige faithfully served on the Charles City County School Board, offering his wisdom, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the success and well-being of our students. His dedication to public education and to the Charles City community leaves a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Paige’s family, loved ones, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. We keep them in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Thank you, Mr. Paige, for more than two decades of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to Charles City County Public Schools. Your legacy will live on in the lives you touched and the community you served.

The Charles City County School Board will hold a retreat on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 5PM - 8PM. The Board will engage in strategic planning, professional learning, and discussion of matters related to the operation of Charles City County Public Schools.

Panther Families,

Please be advised of an important update regarding our Girls’ Volleyball Program for the 2026–2027 school year. CCHS will now field Girls’ JV Volleyball only. As a result of this change, a revised JV Volleyball schedule is currently being developed. Once the new schedule is finalized, it will be shared with our students, families, and school community.

Last night was an incredible night of reconnecting with returning families, welcoming new families, and celebrating the excitement of a brand-new school year! There was so much energy, joy, and anticipation throughout our schools, and we loved seeing our hallways filled with familiar faces and new smiles.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our families who joined us! We are so excited to welcome our students back bright and early Monday morning for a wonderful year of learning, growing, and making memories together!
