Vicki Bingaman Sims shared this photo. I would just like to say that this was a very determined group of young women. They played six on six basketball—who remembers that? The big thing is that they practiced before school in the winter—they got themselves to the high school in the dark each morning. More than a few of them did not live in town, so they had to get up even earlier. This is also at least part of the reason that I am not on this team. Kudos to these persistent young women. There was not enough gym space and the boys were the priority.

Mr. Redmond told us that graduation was not for us. It was for our parents. As a parent, graduations have definitely been life highlights!

Hello all. The postcard save the date seems like it reached a few people. I did get some sad news. Billy Goben, son of our classmate Bill Goben, contacted me here to let us know that his dad passed away in 2015. Although this notice is late, our sympathies go out to Bill’s family and friends. I could not locate an obituary to post.

I am sorry to report the passing of another classmate. The obituary says Dwight graduated with the class of 1975, but he was with our class until sophomore year. He did not appear in the class gallery in our junior and senior year yearbooks, so I could not confirm class of 1975 or 1976. Our sympathies to his family and all those who loved him.
