A GoFundMe page has been established to support the Watson family following the heartbreaking loss of Joel Watson this past Thursday. Joel was the son of Michelle Watson, one of our CMS music teachers, and a former student of Chardon Local Schools.

The Watson family is facing an unimaginable loss, and proceeds from the fundraiser will help cover funeral expenses and provide support to Michelle and her family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.

If you are able, please consider making a donation. Even a small contribution can help ease some of the financial burden and, more importantly, remind the Watson family that they are surrounded by a caring and supportive community.

Please keep Michelle, her family, and all those who loved Joel in your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time.

Thank you for your kindness and support.

In the latest rankings, CHS ranked:

- 1,388th nationally (top 5% of all high schools);
- 50th in Ohio (out of 974 high schools);
