Tar Heel Bikes launched in August 2012 to give students access to healthy, sustainable, convenient alternative transportation options around UNC Chapel Hill. The program is sponsored by the Residence Hall Association, New Student and Carolina Parent Programs, The ReCYCLEry NC, Housing and Residential Education, The Strowd Roses Foundation, and RESPC.
