Project Guanajuato is a summer teaching internship experience for UNC undergraduates in Mexico. Students live with families and must speak Spanish.

This project, now in its fifth year, is a collaborative effort between the Latino Migration Project and the Mexican NGO Fundación Comunitaria del Bajio. Each summer, a team of undergraduates spends 7 weeks in rural communities in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Students live in one of two rural communities that experience high levels of emigration to the United States. In 2012, students will help
