Sept 2 - SAVE THE DATE! All Glenwood parents are invited to join the community meeting with School Board members. See your Gator's Tale for details on how to join. This meeting is in advance of the Sept 3 School Board meeting at Lincoln Center. The final decision on World Language is expected Sept 17.

It's been an emotional last few weeks for Glenwood, but the PTA is doubling down on our support of teachers and staff, and all things related to Glenwood. We still have a year of school and everyone needs our support now, more than ever. Please consider joining the PTA today!

For generations of students, the first day of school at Chapel Hill's oldest elementary school marked the start of a new year. On Monday, it also marked the beginning of the end.

Earlier this summer, the Chapel Hill - Carrboro City school board chose to close Glenwood Elementary. Rashkis Elementary will receive its Dual Language Immersion track in fall 2027, but the board is delaying a decision on relocating the school's remaining students.

Culture Night is when our community comes together to share what is special about our families and culture with the larger Glenwood community. Please join us!

THURSDAY: May 28
TIME: 5:00-6:30 on the blacktop if weather permits, inside if not.

There will also be an ICE CREAM TRUCK. Families are encouraged to dress up in the attire of the cultures.
