The latest re wrap job from JDS. It was time for a change to these Roland V-drums for my buddy, Jerry. I stripped away the factory galaxy black, gave the shells some attention to get them up to par, and re wrapped the kit in silver glass glitter. The snare and auxiliary pads were wrapped in turquoise hybrid from Precision. They give this kit a little pop! This was a fun project! Thanks, Jerry!

No, it’s not a new Star Wars vehicle, I’m just over here bending some wooden JDS badges for two snares that will be finished out tomorrow!

Something new from the shop. This is the JDS 12x8 Side Snare in Silver Glass Glitter. With the addition of the brass hardware it takes on more of a silver champagne glass glitter look. I’m in love with the mixed finishes on this one!

Waterfall Bubinga, anyone? This super thin veneer was added to an 8 ply maple shell for a special project coming up soon. Keep your eyes out for this one.

Jamethyst has a new friend in the studio! I picked up this Trixon Elite cocktail kit on a whim about a month ago and paired it with a 12” Zildjian Special Recording hi hat cymbal set and an A Custom crash ride. I used it for the first time during our stripped down rehearsal tonight and it sounded pretty sweet! Sizes are as follows: 15x25 kick drum/floor tom, 10x5.5 high tom, and 8x5.5 popcorn snare. Fun little kit!
