When was the last time you pushed yourself far past your comfort zone physically and mentally?

This is my personal self empowerment journey that refers to as a Misogi challenge. Rule number 1. 50%chance of completing the goal. Rule #2 Don’t die.

My revised definition to #2 or get injured

The misogi is to do something so hard that will impact your life for the rest of the year. It should scare you and be something you never thought you would do.

Wow did this adventure change my life for the better

I made the crazy decision to go backcountry hiking

tarantulas crawling everywhere (mating season), sleeping outdoors in rolling thunderstorms, near freezing temps and hiking miles with 35 lbs on my back was a life changing experience. Other than marathon training I didn’t prep for this hike or experience
(There was a point I was using the f bomb and cursing Michael Easter for reading his damn book lol)

Aside from the tarantulas my greatest fears were getting struck by lightening, getting hypothermia from the storms and falling downhill with a 35 pound backpack

A misogi is a personal journey of empowerment.

It could be starting a business
Running a marathon
Taking a cold water bath for 30 days
Doing the Goggins 4x4x48 challenge

You get the picture

As a life coach I highly encourage you to try this if you are feeling stuck, lack confidence or feeling like you’re just going through the motions of life

It’s worth the experience!

This Sergeant approached my friend and I during a morning walk promoting the See Me AZ initiative

It promotes pedestrian and cyclist awareness to avoid drivers and pedestrians/cyclist crashes because they don’t see each other

Just another reason to love life here and feeling safe

Anyone else snooze right through their alarm 🤣

Even though I had a late start I still got on my 8 mile run in 90F sunny AZ

It’s a dry heat babe🤪

Running isn’t just about marathon training. It’s a priority for maintaining my mental health

It’s a constant healing process from years of narcissistic abuse and a toxic husband.

The thousands of steps and miles I’ve run are a reminder of the thousands of emotional steps to recovering from heartache, codependency shame depression and suicidal thoughts

Recovery is a life long process.

After training for and running numerous marathons I have deeper understanding of what “life is a marathon” means

My emotional and mental health is my priority. Everything else in life falls in line when mental health is in order

Years ago I would never had thought I could be happy

Today I’m the happiest I’ve ever been because I learned what true happiness looks like

(Spoiler alert: it shouldnt take someone in your life to make you happy❤️)

How do you make mental health a priority?

Remember life is a marathon. Take it step by step and day by day

This is for my Christian sisters who have come out of toxic relationships

As Christian sisters we received mixed messages about relationships and forgiveness

Give yourself some grace. You don’t know what being an emotionally healthy Christian looks like

We have been given messages of half truths or statements out of context about forgiveness

God wants us to be happy.

We can forgive. But it doesn’t mean he wants us to continue being abused

God has a special place in hell for people who have severely harmed others and refuse to be contrite even in the afterlife.

Girl it’s time to move on. Don’t give that a$$hole that power any longer.

Focus your energy on the life God gives you. Focus on the blessings you have. Love on all of the beautiful supportive people in your life. Live intentionally. Live your dream life🥰
