At Great Hearts Academies, friendship can open the door to a meaningful career.

For Vikki Tong, K–2 Physical Education Teacher at Archway Chandler - a Great Hearts Academy, it meant sharing what she loved about Great Hearts with her friend Rong Chen, Kindergarten Assistant Teacher. Today, they’re part of the same community, helping young scholars grow and flourish together.

“I love Great Hearts because it cares about the whole child—academically, emotionally, and in character,” Vikki shared. “I also love the strong support among teachers and the joy we share in helping students grow into courageous, responsible citizens.”

For Rong, that spirit of community was one of the things that made Great Hearts stand out: “What really drew me in was the positive and supportive atmosphere among the teachers... I’m very grateful to be part of this community!”

A strong school day deserves an equally meaningful afternoon. The Athenaeum After-School Program at Archway Chandler gives students a safe, joyful place to learn, play, build friendships, and continue growing after the final bell rings.
Students have time for homework, participate in hands-on activities, spend time with friends, and enjoy an environment shaped by the same culture and virtues they experience throughout the school day.

The start of the new school year is right around the corner, and our Athenaeum After-School Program team is already eagerly preparing for another wonderful year!

Our Athenaeum After-School Program at Archway Chandler is the ultimate blend of fun and hands-on learning. Serving Grades K-5, Athenaeum features unique monthly themes, engaging daily activities, time for homework, and time to socialize with friends.
