Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, our founder, descends from six generations of sitarists. He is one of the leading exponents of the Etawah Gharana, a musical tradition or "family" committed to this most famous of Indian instruments. SPK Academy utilizes that rich tradition as the foundation upon which sitar is taught to our students. Making each student capable of becoming a "maestro"
