Aromatase inhibitor (anastrozole, letrozole) use "negatively affects tendon health, potentially resulting in various musculoskeletal conditions, including joint stiffness, myalgia, arthralgia, tenosynovitis, tendon ruptures, and osteoporosis [3,4]. Despite being well documented, some musculoskeletal effects still remain underreported. Given the plausible association between AI use and plantar fascia involvement, recognition and effective management of AI-related plantar fasciitis are important."
2 cases with ultrasound scanning and injection are highlighted in this letter to the editor - be aware of this possible side effect for your patients and also know that it is treatable with the right skills!
