The McKinley Toastmasters Club # 467 received its charter from Toastmasters International on April 23, 1947. Fairchild, accepted the charter on behalf of McKinley Toastmasters, starting out a proud tradition of service in the Champaign-Urbana community for 68 years. McKinley Toastmasters was named after its first meeting place, the McKinley YMCA.

Our Story
The McKinley Toastmasters Club # 467 received its charter on April 23, 1947 from Toastmasters International. Chapter President, O.L. Fairchild, accepted the charter on behalf of McKinley Toastmasters, starting out a proud tradition of service in the Champaign-Urbana community for 71 years. McKinley Toastmasters was named after its first meeting place, the McKinley YMCA.
What makes McKinley so special is our diverse membership - an amalgamation of Champaign and Urbana area residents including international students and post docs from the University of Illinois. Though every meeting is as unique as our group is varied, McKinley members are driven by one common goal: Taking our communication skills to the next level!
We encourage you to visit our meetings held in the Champaign Public library, held every second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
