Year 2 of Savor the City is in the books! And the food was indescribably unique, delicious, full of flavor, creative — it was display of insanely talented chefs. We enjoyed the flavors while listening to great music in a beautiful space at Broadside NOLA
As a foodie, I feel like a winner at attending the event, but I hope the independent restaurants that the money goes to support get the extra boost to get through the summer and continue to be a vibrant part of our communities.

We always dine in, but you will see tons of people doing takeout as well. Whatever way you wanna get it, bottom line is that Here Today Rotisserie has some of the best food in the city and definitely one of the best deals.
You know what else is a good deal that involves food? — Savor the City where you can try 14 amazing restaurants while joining the collective effort to give support to restaurants in our city during the slow season. If you haven’t got your ticket to attend this event at the Broadside NOLA this Thursday, August 27 make sure to do so.

Titos Ceviche & Pisco is one of those Uptown spots that I genuinely don’t think gets talked about enough. 🇵🇪

The space is beautiful, the Peruvian food is vibrant, the cocktails are great, and somehow it works for both a family dinner and a night out. It’s not stuffy at all—Reese happily demolished the Peruvian chicken wings with a guava juice on the side, and as the night picked up, we moved over to the bar with friends for a few more cocktails and to explore the pisco options. 🍹

And there’s more upstairs. They have a spacious private event room with access to a balcony overlooking St. Charles Avenue, which would be a pretty incredible setting for a party or celebration.

Everything is made to order, and you can tell in the quality of the food coming out of the kitchen. And yall know I love a spot run by a great family, which is exactly the case with Tito’s. The family incredibly kind and has been part of the Uptown community for nearly 10 years.
If Tito’s has somehow stayed off your radar, I highly recommend jotting down the recs we gave and then checking them out.

Such an unexpected blessing from PayMore Stores Electronics and paymoremetairiela location 📍. They donated 2 computers 🖥️ to students for the upcoming school year, and in the process of picking them up, I got the chance to learn about what they offer.
This place buys back and sells all types of tech, including video games and consoles, and the amount of nostalgic games they carry is CRAZY! They also buy and sell computers, and they have tons of affordable options, which makes for a great move with all the expenses that come along with preparing for the school year. They buy at a higher price, so you get more money in your pocket, and they sell at a great price on the consumer.
Christian, who works at the Metairie location on Severn is also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He is the type of person that takes electronics and puts them back together — for fun.

Amtrak’s Mardi Gras line turns 1️⃣ 🎉 🎂, and I have loved all my trips with them. I love that is connects sister cities like Mobile so people can Visit Mobile and Visit New Orleans with ease.
I will also take the line to The City With Soul | Visit Jackson, MS so I can visit the MS Civil Rights Museum with my family.
