LPGA-USGA Girl's Golf First Tee Central Ohio

Due to the rainy weather today, we are going to cancel at Oakhaven Golf Club and officially wrap up our Spring Girls Golf session! While we wish we could be out on the course one more time, Mother Nature had other plans for us today. ☔⛳

Thank you to all of our amazing girls and families for such a fun spring season! We loved watching the girls learn, grow, cheer each other on, and have fun together. We are already looking forward to a fun summer session with everyone! 💗

Best Queen City Championship of the past 4 years! Best location! Best parking! Best set up! Best golf course!

Thank you to all who braved the weather and made the road trip! We started out with a weather delay and the players were taken off the course!

Play resumed! We set up and the girls arrived! Each girl received a goodie bag with a bonus fuzzy yellow duck. The girls also received a poster with the Tour Players who each represents one of the 5 ewords….our Ambassadors! They also received other fun goodies including an on-course Scavenger Hunt!

Each girl received a lunch voucher for a FREE lunch thanks to our friends at First Tee Greater Cincinnati! These girls were also given a tour by Taylor of Outlyr including special access to the media areas and the scorecard signing area! She explained several things about different vendors, the First Aid booth and the golf course to the girls! They all learned so much with this behind the scenes peak of what it takes to pull off an event like this.

Our bright yellow tent could be seen from many parts of the golf course making us easy to find.

The bonus of the day was watching the LPGA Tour Players take the time to sign autographs for the girls! They could have been in mid-stride walking somewhere else and would just stop and sign for the girls! Their interaction with the girls makes the trip and the day all worthwhile!!

Thank you to Taylor at Outlyr for the prime real estate set up next to hole 9 green. And thank you to Ben and Libby at First Tee-Greater Cincinnati & No. Kentucky for making all of this happen for our girls! We are looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year!!!

Tonight was our final session of Spring at Blacklick! And like the majority of this season it was chilly again tonight!

The girls were back out on the golf course tonight! They did really well as they played a scramble, better ball and individual formats! They also worked on keeping score! Some of the girls had a putting contest and they did so good!

We saw some really good improvements this session! These girls are golfers!! Thank you to our coaches for coming out this session and helping out our girls!

Girls keep recording your steps! We will record them through the month of June!

Next session will be in July!! Hopefully the weather will finally be warmer!! Enjoy your vacations! We can’t wait to see you back!!

Tonight at Girls Golf at Oakhaven Golf Club, we finally got out on the golf course! ⛳️ It was a cold and very windy night, but these girls did not let the chill slow them down one bit!

Our word of the week was “exercise,” and we talked about all the ways golf is a great form of exercise for both our bodies and minds. From walking the course, swinging the clubs, practicing balance and coordination, and staying focused through each hole, the girls got to see firsthand how much movement and effort golf really involves!

We played scramble format, better ball, and even had the girls play their own ball. Some of these girls had never been out on a golf course before, so getting the chance to play real holes was extra exciting tonight!

It has been so fun watching their confidence and skills grow each week. We saw some really great shots out there tonight, and even more importantly, lots of encouragement and teamwork between the girls.

We finished the evening by heading inside to warm up and play a fun game together before wrapping up practice.

Next week is our final week of the Spring session, and we’ll be heading back out onto the course again! ⛳️

A huge thank you to all of our coaches who braved the cold and wind tonight to support and encourage these girls. We appreciate you so much!

What a beautiful night to end our spring session at Heritage Golf Club! The girls were able to get out onto the course again to put all the pieces they’ve learned together.

A big thanks goes out to our coaches and eleaders for the assistance this session! Thank you for making a difference in these girls’ lives!

Even though tonight is our last night together, keep counting your steps and remember to log them through the end of June.

Tonight at Girls Golf at Blacklick we were on the golf course! It was a chilly night but we had lots of fun!

These girls are really improving. The chill did not slow them down. We played scramble format and better ball format as well as they played their own ball! The girls played in teams and as competitors!

We had some really good shots and some really good scores! Next week is our final week of Spring session. We will head back out to the golf course!
