Recently, Ralls County R-II invited the community to participate in our Community Planning Survey. We received 232 responses and are grateful to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts. The results identified several clear priorities, including attracting and retaining quality staff, maintaining a safe learning environment, supporting academic achievement, and increasing communication regarding school finance.

Before sharing this information publicly, it was first shared with district staff. The message below outlines the rationale behind this decision.

Summer Meal Transportation Program

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, Ralls County R-II School District will provide transportation for children who would like to attend lunch at Ralls County Elementary School. This service will be available Tuesday through Friday and will continue through Friday, June 19.

Transportation pickup and drop-off locations and times (pickup/drop-off) are listed below. Children will be transported to the elementary school for lunch and then returned to their designated pickup location.

In addition, the food deliveries announced in our previous communication will begin this Friday at approximately 12:30 p.m. Delivery personnel will have forms that must be signed upon receipt of the meals (if possible).

Please note that if your child participates in the Tuesday–Friday meal service and attends lunch on a Friday, they will receive their Friday meal package to take home with them. In these cases, a separate Friday food delivery will not be made.

Ralls County R-II School District Summer Meal Program Update

Dear Ralls County R-II Families,

On behalf of our administration, transportation, and food service teams, we are excited to share an update regarding our Summer Meal Program.

As previously announced, weekly meal deliveries will begin on Friday, June 5, 2026, and continue on designated Fridays until Friday, June 19, 2026. To ensure we can properly prepare meals and transportation routes, all families wishing to participate in this service must be signed up by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

In addition to Friday meal deliveries, we are pleased to offer transportation to and from lunch at Ralls County Elementary School beginning Thursday, June 4, 2026. Transportation will be available Tuesday through Friday from select locations in Perry, Center, and New London. Specific pickup and drop-off locations will be shared with participating families as soon as they are finalized.

Children who participate in this transportation service will be transported to Ralls County Elementary School to enjoy lunch and then returned to the location where they were picked up.

As an added benefit, any child who participates in the lunch transportation program will also receive the weekend meal package that is being distributed through our Friday delivery program.

This delivery program is available to all children ages 0–18 within the Ralls County R-II School District boundaries.

Dear Ralls County R-II School District Families,

On behalf of our Administration, Transportation, and Food Service teams, we hope you are enjoying your summer break so far.

As summer continues, we want to thank you for your support throughout the school year and for allowing us the opportunity to serve your children each day. We are grateful for the partnership we share with our families and community.

To help support our students and families this summer, our Transportation and Food Service teams have joined forces to provide weekly food deliveries on Fridays over the next three weeks: June 5, June 12, and June 19.

This program is available to all children ages 0–18 and disabled adults residing within the Ralls County R-II School District boundaries. On each Friday, our buses will deliver meals to New London, Center, Perry, and select surrounding areas.

Ralls County R2 District - Summer School 2026 Information
Dear Summer School Families,
We are excited to offer Summer School at Ralls County Elementary for students entering Kindergarten through 8th Grade! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to continue building important academic skills while also enjoying fun, engaging activities in a more relaxed setting.
Dates:
Tuesday–Friday, May 26 – June 19 (No school on Mondays) ALL GRADE LEVELS ARE LOCATED AT RCE!
Daily Schedule:
Doors Open: 7:45 a.m.
Class Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.
FREE breakfast and lunch for all students
Behavior Expectations:
Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for all students. While summer school includes fun and engaging activities, academics and learning remain a priority. Students are expected to follow all school expectations. Behavior that results in an office referral will not be tolerated. Any student receiving a referral is likely to be removed from the summer school program at the discretion of the administrator.
Transportation: Mr. Joiner, transportation director, and his team will reach out to you by May 22 with bus times, locations, etc.
Daily Structure:
Morning Classes: Core instruction in reading, writing, math, and science/social studies
Afternoon Classes: Journey Courses (enrichment opportunities designed to engage and inspire students)
Weekly Activities:
Each week, students will visit the Ralls County Library. These visits help foster a love of reading and connect students with valuable community resources.
Attendance Incentives:
We want to encourage strong attendance and commitment throughout summer school!
Daily: Students attending each day will have the opportunity to select a prize
End of Summer Rewards:
0 days missed: $100 gift card
1 day missed: $75 gift card
2 days missed: $50 gift card
Grand Prize Drawing:
One student will be selected at the end of summer school to receive a Nintendo Switch for perfect attendance.
