They had been asked as a business to donate an item for a local fund raiser. The basket would then go into a silent auction. I am creative and pretty fussy about my work. Long story short, the basket turned out fantastic, as a matter of fact well enough to go into the live auction. That was nearly four years ago and would in fact be the beginning of things to come. I’ve been creating baskets for t
his fund raiser’s live auction on a yearly basis. My employers also have kept me busy with baskets during these years, as well, for many aspects of their business. One day as I was prepping nine baskets for an upcoming company event a more serious minded colleague stepped into the room, took one look and said “You need to be in business...,”and being the business person he was he continued, “…research it.” Great advice! Who would have thought all those years making gift baskets would evolve into my own business? And, I might add, I’ve had a prayer for many years that a business would evolve in my life that would be a benefit to others in need of work; thus, the birthing of The Garnet Gate. Thank You Lord!
