Is this a biblical message to America??? Three hurricanes hitting America have names that carry meaning when looking at them in the Bible.

The first is Simon.
The second is named Rachel.
The third is Isaías.

Simon means “he has heard” or “to hear.”
Rachel means “ewe” or “female sheep.”
Isaiah means “The Lord is salvation.”

When you bring these meanings together…

“Listen, sheep! The Lord is your salvation!”

What are your thoughts?! Is this a biblical sign???

You can transform you Bible study time with a few simple steps.

You may have heard of the Observe-Interpret-Apply method for studying the Bible. This is taught at pretty much every seminary.

What we have found over the years is that people struggle the most with the observation and interpretation parts.

Given that God’s Word is design to bring change to our lives, the natural thing to do is read a passage and then instantly figure out how to apply it to our lives. Most of us will say something like, “To me the means…” or “To me this feels like…” - though these statements are necessarily bad, they are just premature.

You can watch this video on YouTube to learn a few simple steps to breakdown the observation and interpretation parts of the process. It’s a 3 minute video. We also have a longer series that is a bit more in depth and detailed that you can find on our YT channel.

But if you don’t have time, here’s the basic steps.

You read a passage…. Then!
1. Read before and after the specific verse to get the general context.
2. Write an outline of that passage. This will help you identify things like audience, location, etc.
3. Identify a timeless truth that the speaker/writer intended for the original audience.
4. Finally, apply it by considering both from a personal and communal perspective.

Jesus is God AND Man (Here is the Proof in Scripture) 📖

How could Jesus be both fully God and fully man? When we look at scripture, we see Jesus claiming that He and the Father are one - “I and the Father are one.” (John 10:31) In the original text, this literally says they are the same people, not just equal in authority.

The apostle Paul also gives us a very clear outline of this very nature, explaining that Christ Jesus, though in the form of God, emptied Himself to take the form of a servant and was born in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:5-11)

This incredible truth is known by the theological term “hypostatic union”

theological definition - The hypostatic union is the doctrinal term saying that Jesus Christ is one single person who simultaneously possesses two complete, distinct natures at the same time: fully divine and fully human.
