We have a question for you: Does opening your Bible feel more intimidating than inspiring?

Many Christians know “good food from bad food” when it comes to truth, but have never been taught how to cook a basic spiritual meal for themselves. It’s easy to feel like deep Bible study is only for scholars or pastors, but God’s Word is meant to be understood by everyone.
Join us on Saturday, September 5th for our in-person class on how to study the Bible!

You will learn how to unpack God’s truth using a simple, repeatable process that starts with the One who simplified all of truth: Jesus. No advanced theology or academic credentials required.

What did Jesus actually mean when He said we must be "born again"?

In this video, we break down the private conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus, a Pharisee and respected religious leader. Nicodemus approached Jesus expecting a political salvation, but Jesus immediately shifted the focus to a much deeper spiritual salvation. Jesus explained that unless someone is "born again of the Spirit, they cannot see the kingdom of God."

Jesus then prophetically connected Himself to the Old Testament story of Moses lifting the bronze serpent in the wilderness. Just as looking at that serpent saved the Israelites from physical death caused by venom, Jesus being lifted up on the cross saves us from spiritual death caused by sin.

While almost everyone knows John 3:16, many miss what Jesus says immediately after. He explains that He did not come into the world to condemn it, because humanity was already living under condemnation because of sin. People remain condemned when they love darkness rather than the light, rejecting it so their sin isn't exposed. However, those who step into the light show that their lives are being transformed by God!

From the religious leaders to the terrified disciples, fear and shame kept most people at a distance. But in the midst of the chaos, two unexpected people saw Jesus for who He truly was.
