🌱 When passion and opportunity converge! ✨

Members of the WHS Gardening Club recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Reiman Gardens on the Iowa State University campus. As part of a special 4-H and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach program, our students got a firsthand look at horticulture and garden design, learning directly from experts in the field.

🦋 Added bonus: They got to experience the butterfly wing and interact with hundreds of beautiful butterflies!

We love seeing our students explore their passions and connect with hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom. Go Warriors! 💙❤️

🎭 Where Fine Arts & Academics Meet Daily! 📖✨

Washington High School had the privilege of hosting internationally acclaimed storyteller Adam Booth! Fresh off headlining the Cedar Rapids Storytelling Festival, Adam spent an incredible morning with hundreds of our students.

Known for his rich folktales filled with striking imagery and emotion, he captivated the room—weaving stories that had our Warriors laughing out loud one moment and deeply moved the next.

Thank you, Adam, for sharing your incredible art of storytelling with Washington High School! 👏

🎨 Warrior Art on the Road! 🖌️

Our talented Washington High School art students and teachers represented at the Lincoln Highway Arts Festival in Mount Vernon!

They showcased and sold incredible student-created artwork, with all proceeds directly supporting future Art Department trips and activities. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth to support our young artists! 🎨✨

Do you have school spirit? WHS does! 🥁

🔥 One of the most unique traditions at Wash is Fine Arts Fridays!

On select Fridays this year, our incredible fine arts groups are taking over the foyer during passing time to inject pure, live energy into the hallways! 🎺✨

Yes, we have fun at Wash, but we keep it safe and orderly, too. A live band performance in the halls and every single student still made it to class on time? Only Washington can boast that. 😤💯
