A recent reflection from Tony O. Elumelu on resilience in entrepreneurship stayed with me.

Building anything worthwhile requires persistence, especially during those seasons when the effort is clear but the results are not yet showing.

It also got me thinking about the decisions leaders sometimes have to make along that journey. How do you know when to keep pushing, and when the better decision is to adjust the strategy or take a different path?

The experiences of LEGO and Slack offer two fascinating perspectives on that question.

I explored this in my latest Catadigm Insights article, “Resilience or Strategic Stubbornness? Knowing When to Persist and When to Pivot.”

I’d be interested to hear your perspective: How do you know when it’s time to stay the course or change direction?

I came across a remarkable video from Kumamoto, Japan, and it got me thinking.

What happens when a crisis unfolds so quickly that there is simply no time to wait for instructions?

We often talk about leadership in terms of what leaders do in difficult moments. But perhaps some of the strongest evidence of leadership is found in what people are already capable of doing when those moments arrive.

I explore that idea in this week's Catadigm Insights.

The Crisis Arrives Before the Instructions Do: Lessons from Kumamoto

It’s about a 4-minute read. I’d be interested to hear what you think after reading it.

What happens when the crisis moves faster than leadership? No meeting. No time to deliberate. No opportunity to wait for instructions. What happens next can reveal more about an organization than months of strategy presentations ever will. A remarkable moment in Kumamoto offers a powerful lens for t...

Can exceptional talent remain unnoticed?

We often assume that excellence naturally attracts recognition. In reality, many individuals and organizations discover that the relationship between value and recognition is far more complex.

In my latest article, I explore a timeless leadership lesson that challenges conventional thinking about talent, organizational culture, and the role leaders play in creating environments where people can truly thrive.

Whether you are a leader, educator, entrepreneur, or professional, I believe you'll find practical insights worth reflecting on.

The just-concluded World Cup gave us more than great football. It also offered some powerful lessons about leadership, humility, and what it means to build something bigger than yourself.

In this week’s Catadigm Insights, I reflect on Messi, Argentina, Spain, and a simple question: What does leadership look like when the applause stops?

Have a read and let me know your thoughts.

Another milestone completed! 🎓📊

I’m pleased to share that I have completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate.

This journey strengthened my practical skills in data analysis, visualization, and evidence-based decision-making, culminating in a hands-on capstone project where I applied the full data analysis process to a real-world business case.

For me, continuous learning is not simply about adding another certificate. It is about expanding the tools and perspectives we bring to teaching, research, leadership, and solving real-world problems.

Grateful for the journey, the learning, and another goal accomplished. On to the next challenge! 🙏

I'm pleased to share that I have successfully completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. This program strengthened my skills in Python, data analysis, data visualization, and data storytelling. I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue developing my analytical capabilities and....

The World Economic Forum is making headlines for its leadership transition. I believe the real story is something else entirely.

My latest Catadigm Leadership Insight explores what this pivotal moment reveals about governance and why every institution will eventually face its own governance test.

Leadership Beyond Tenure

Great leaders create results. Exceptional leaders create institutions that continue to deliver results long after they have left.

Inspired by Tony Elumelu's farewell as Chairman of UBA, this week's Catadigm Leadership Insights explores one of leadership's most enduring questions:

Has leadership been embedded within the institution, or does the institution still depend on the leader?

Read the full reflection and let us know your thoughts. How should leaders measure their legacy?

The earthquake didn't sneak on Venezuela.

That statement stayed with me as I reflected on the recent disaster.

Earthquakes don't announce the day they'll arrive, but nations know they are possible. The same is true of cyberattacks, pandemics, infrastructure failures, and financial crises.

So why do we continue evaluating leadership only after disaster strikes?

This question inspired my latest article, where I explore why leadership effectiveness should be measured long before the first signs of crisis appear.

If you're interested in leadership, organizational resilience, governance, or risk management, I hope you'll find it thought-provoking.

The Obama Presidential Center is more than a building project.

It raises an interesting question: What separates leaders whose influence fades from those whose impact continues long after they leave?
