Today we celebrate Debbie Gauna and an incredible 40-year career dedicated to serving students and making a lasting difference in their lives.
A few facts about Debbie:
-Graduated from Angelo State University and later earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Lamar University in 2021.
-Throughout her career in Leander ISD, Debbie worked at: CPMS, CPHS, VRHS, RHS, and SELF 18+.
-Served in multiple leadership positions throughout the district, including: Special Education Team Leader, Transition Coordinator, Intervention Specialist, and Student Council Sponsor.
-Joined the SELF 18+ program in 2014.
-Instrumental in improving and expanding the SELF program.

Debbie leaves behind a legacy of hope, innovation, and unwavering commitment to helping every student reach their full potential. Throughout her career, she created meaningful opportunities, challenged systems to make them better, and inspired those around her with her vision, leadership, and determination. Her ability to see challenges as opportunities and her commitment to making a difference will continue to impact lives for years to come.
