Built in 1861, it showcases a unique blend of Greek Revival and French Creole architectural styles, reflecting the cultural influences of its original owner, Frank Stilley, who hailed from Louisiana.
This well-preserved home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is recognized as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. Over the years, The Grove has gained a reputation as one of the most haunted places in Texas, with numerous reports of unexplained phenomena, including sightings of apparitions and mysterious sounds.

However, its long past also carries a darker side. Guests report paranormal activity, including sightings of ghostly apparitions, strange noises, and cold spots. Some believe the spirits of former guests linger, including a man said to be a victim of the 1900 hurricane. The hotel’s blend of rich history and ghostly encounters makes it a fascinating, yet eerie, destination.

Location: San Antonio, TX
Stayed here for a comic con event earlier this year. Very beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, and attentive staff. I was unaware that the hotel is supposedly haunted, so we will be planning a trip back there with our equipment to conduct an investigation, after doing some research on its history.
