Calling all Eno Field Station campers! Our annual Eno Climate Champions program is back and better than ever ๐ŸŒŽ Beginning on November 9th, local teens (ages 12-17) are invited to join us for a FREE four-session series focusing on protecting native birds in a changing climate ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿชถ๐Ÿชบ

During these sessions, students will not only learn about the intersection of native wildlife and climate change, but they will have the opportunity to create meaningful impact in their local community by collaborating on a project to increase bird habitat at the Confluence Natural Area and in their very own backyard. Snacks, guest speakers, and resume-building opportunities provided!

After an epic week of camp, weโ€™ve needed some equally epic rest and recovery time โ€“ but weโ€™re back for a quick Field Station wrap-up! The last few days of camp were filled with learning and laughter (plus lots and lots of sweat ๐Ÿ˜…). From bat catching and h**p wrangling to fish surveys, stargazing, and finally canoeing, these campers did it all ๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ•๏ธ๐Ÿ›ถ We were lucky to have a great group of kids this year, and we were so glad to spend the week with them out on the Eno.

HUGE thank you to our incredible staff, guest educators, vendors, and volunteers. Field Station would not be possible without funding from Burroughs Wellcome Fund, Protolabs Foundation, Duke Energy Foundation, and Durham County ARPA Fund.

So long, Field Station 2023 โ€” we canโ€™t wait to do it all again next year! ๐Ÿ‘‹
