AOSA's Chapter Acknowledgement and Recognition Committee is celebrating! First Iowa Orff is doing an amazing job of reaching teachers across our state! This year, they held workshops in 3 different locations - Cedar Falls, Des Moines, and Iowa City. This change made workshops more accessible to teachers across our entire state! Yesterday, Jess Dunnick presented at the Iowa City Chapter, for a large group of teachers, including students at the University of Iowa. It was a lovely workshop, with strong attendance! Thank you to their leadership for working to reach potential members across our entire state!

Reminder, the deadline to apply for our First Iowa Orff Levels Scholarship is May 15th!

Apply now for our First Iowa Orff Level 1 Scholarship!

📌 Scholarship Details: Three $200 scholarships will be awarded to selected applicants that are enrolled in our Level 1 Course. Winners will receive their scholarship payment on-site during the summer Levels Course. You don't have to be a member of First Iowa Orff or AOSA to apply!

📅 Application Deadline: May 15th, 2026

📢 Results Announcement: Applicants will be notified via email by June 1st, 2026

Such a great workshop with Jess Dunnick today! Learned about working in partners, using tubanos in a playful way, using tinkertars, and using dance in a collaborative, playful way. We also had some raffle winners. Thanks, to the U of I for hosting our workshop today!
