Congratulations to all our student-musicians, faculty, guest artists and staff on a wonderful 45th Scholarship Benefit Concert last evening.

Official Great Hall welcome to our own new faculty member - Jaime Webb!

The Scholarship Benefit Concerts have been raising scholarship funds for exceptionally talented music students and students in need since 1982. In addition to the income from tickets sales for the concerts, we have developed a network of community, small business, corporate and university-related donors. The extent of this support has been most gratifying to the students and faculty at UNI’s School of Music.

Amplify Faculty & Staff update! S/O to our own - Professor Kathryn Saulsbury

Name and position: Kathryn Saulsbury, Assistant Adjunct Professor of Voice, Opera Ensemble

Year started at UNI: 2023

In addition to teaching voice, Prof. Saulsbury has been a driving force behind UNI Opera’s recent productions. Her keyboard skills, musicianship, and knowledge of repertoire all make significant positive contributions to the ensemble. Prof. Saulsbury guides students by giving patient and thoughtful instruction while providing meaningful opportunities for musical and artistic growth. We look forward to the ensemble’s presentation of scenes from Pirates of Penzance in November!

Accolades/achievements: Spring 2025 concert presentation of Die Fleddermaus (Act II) at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center.

What students are saying: I feel more comfortable as a singer, performer, and a music professional thanks to the feedback and guidance I received from Prof. Saulsbury.
