At Alpha Phi SUU we love to highlight our members accomplishments! So for national internship day we’re highlighting Keira Orton, Keira did an internship on Cape Cod this summer! Here’s how her experience has been:
“This summer, I had the opportunity to intern in the Cape Cod Baseball League for my second cross country internship, this time as the Marketing Lead for the Wareham Gatemen.
Taking on a leadership role pushed me outside of my comfort zone as I managed a team, oversaw marketing efforts, and continued creating content for one of the most competitive summer baseball leagues in the country.
The experiences I’ve had through Alpha Phi and at Southern Utah University gave me the confidence and skills to step into this position, from leading teams and planning events to strengthening my communication and creative abilities.
Working with Division I collegiate athletes and industry professionals has shown me what it takes to succeed in sports media while helping me build connections that will last far beyond this summer.
As I get closer to graduation, I’m grateful for every opportunity that’s prepared me for this role and excited to keep building a career doing what I love.” -Keira
