Each family is a blessing and I thank you for trusting me each week to teach your kids or yourself!!

I know you didn’t ask, but I wanted to share with you our cleaning policy!!

This also applies to all tools used for outside group classes!! Cleanliness and health is just as important as growing in your gifts! You can’t grow if things aren’t comfortable! I strive to create a clean, fun, and peaceful atmosphere to make learning super easy!

If you ever have any questions or would like special cleaning for your lesson please let me know!!

MUSIC IN NATURE - June class date is......

June 11th - 11:00-12:00PM - Levels Road Park!

Can't make a Thursday during the day class? No worries we are launching at Glasgow park in Newark... June 17th - 5:00-6:00PM

In June's class we will be specifically focusing on sight-reading which applies to any instrument....

Look out for:
Chalk/Art
Drums
Piano
FIELD GAMES to help us learn music theory

This class will be more studying and learning, then playing of instruments. For ages 5-14!

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a younger one coming, they are totally welcome, we will have small instruments for them to play with while I work with the older kiddos on sight-reading.

Music in Nature - MOT Class - Older Class ages 5-14.

We were so excited to launch our first MIN class this past Thursday!

At this months class we did…..
🎶Sight-reading
🎹Piano training and playing
🎤Vocal and breath training
🥁Rhythm training
We also formed a Music Band - FREESTYLE PLAY TO THE SONG….”HAPPY” 👏🏼

We also took time to discuss the quote of the day and the fact that each student had a purpose. Each of us are different, but we have gifts and we are to use them to spread love! This class is to help them discover their gifts. What an amazing class!

Couldn’t join us this class? No worries we now have two class options….

🎶MOT location - Daytime Class - $10 a family no matter the size
The 2nd Thursday of each month - June 11th - 11-12PM

🎶Glasgow Park - Newark Class - $15 a family no matter size
3rd Wednesday of each month - June 17th - 5-6PM

Meet the owner of CB Studios - Mrs. Carissa Berkey

Carissa has been teaching for over 6 years now and has been playing piano and singing since age of 4, which has been 20 years. Additionally Carissa has her bachelors degree at the University of Valley Forge for ministry leadership - specializing in music. Her heart is to see students have fun learning music, while also discovering themselves. Each and every child has a gift, and not all of them are the same. Carissa loves creating a comfortable and fun atmosphere to help kiddos discover and learn their God given gifts! To help create a fun class, Carissa uses other instruments to help teach piano and voice, songs, games and prizes, and a bunch of other techniques to challenge each student, while helping them have fun. Her heart is also to spread the love of Jesus to every student and adult, and watch them GROW!!!

Carissa’s favorite part of lessons is watching each student leave with a smile and desiring to practice/come back. Carissa doesn’t just see this as a music business, but she truly values each student for who they are, and loves to cheer them on inside and outside of lessons! We are a family here at CB studios and Carissa is a music teacher that loves to become a friend/positive support.

Alongside of teaching music, Carissa is on staff at her church, Real Life Community Church, as the worship and youth Pastor and also has a traveling music group called Kingdom Seekers Worship Ministries.

Outside of work, Carissa loves the gym, loves to spend time with her hubby Noah Berkey and cheering him on in his business - Berkey’s Renovations - reading, hiking, gardening, writing music, and traveling to see different places. Overall she loves admiring the Lords creation!

Previous work experience includes, managing a music studio/teaching, teaching group classes, worship and music training in TX, years of choral training and making TX All-state choir in high-school multiple times.
