Bittersweet moment to watch this class graduate knowing a majority of them from preschool through graduation!
Aeysha Ahmed opened with a beautiful voice singing our National Anthem.
Valedictorian Morgan Bashore welomed the class, parents, families and friends, followed by Class/Faculty choice speaker Zach Brown.
Slide show presentation, put together by Grayci Thomas and Morgan Bashore with McKenzie Menard overseeing the audio visual of the slide show. Salutatorian Casey Wilson, sunglasses and all gave the closing remarks.
Surprised visit was a Professor from LCC to present Mica Kincade with her AA Degree as it was also LCC's Graduation night.
Soon to be retired Superintendent Bob Garrett presented the Class of 2018 with a very, very short speech. I believe that is a record! 😁
Presenting the Diploma, Pam Moore, retiring School Secretary and School Board Member, Paula Culbertson.
Awards were presented by Principal Stephanie Leitz, stay tuned to next week's Eagle to see who received.
Scholarships were awarded in a ceremony on Thursday making last night's Wahkiakum High School Graduation, the shortest I can recall.
Former schoolmates attending ceremony from Florida, Cossette Anderson; Astoria, Anna Kuhn; Castle Rock, Parker Patching; RA Long, Aly Kirzy; and Kelso, Aaron West Some of them started preschool, others came midway, they all have good memories of their former classmates.
I pray all had a wonderful celebration last night and continuing through the weekend!
It has been fun to have been a parent of a 2018 graduate and helping with field trips, Vista Visions, Cispus and many other activities, events and sports!
