Helping working parents people reclaim time, reduce mental load, and build better life systems — without guilt or burnout.

I used to imagine family vacations as relaxing beach days.

The reality looks more like:
• refereeing sibling arguments
• applying sunscreen every 14 minutes
• negotiating snack treaties
• carrying 47 beach toys
• someone always needing the bathroom

Same parenting chaos… just with a prettier view.

But watching my kids see the ocean, chase waves, and collect seashells all day is still pretty special.

Boss of Both Worlds reality: sometimes you’re leading strategy meetings… and sometimes you’re leading hostage negotiations between siblings on a beach.

If I only had $100 per month to buy back as much time as possible… what would I actually do?

Not dream outsourcing.
Not “hire a nanny and a chef.”
Real, doable stuff.

I pulled together the exact plan - the highest-ROI swaps that give back 3–6 hours a week (conservatively) for $100 or less per month.

Nothing extreme. Just systems.

If you want the list, I made it into a free guide and put it on my website (www.bossofbothworlds.com)

Because doing it all is a scam.
And we deserve better systems 🌟

Our first podcast episode is officially LIVE on Spotify Podcast!!!

The very first episode of Working Parent Wins is out — and we’re starting exactly how we mean to continue: real, raw, and unapologetic.

I sat down with Ashten O'Malley — full-time working parent of two and children’s book author — and we talked about:

• The things that have actually made our lives easier
• What we’ve intentionally stopped doing
• The expectations we’ve quietly dropped
• And the things we are officially done apologizing for

There’s laughter. There’s honesty. There’s a lot of “why did we think we had to carry that?”

If you’ve ever felt like you’re managing a career, a household, and the invisible mental load all at once… this one’s for you.

Unapologetic is our new parenting motto.

Go listen on Spotify Podcasts. 🤍 https://open.spotify.com/episode/6BwOZXAJl5VJ59J2bWHzhT

And tell me what you’re done apologizing for.

Okay real question for my fellow working parents:
At what point did we all become:
- full-time professionals
- household managers
- calendar coordinators
- short-order cooks
- crisis response teams
- and 24/7 snack providers?
Asking for a friend. (It’s me.)
I’m hosting a small free workshop this week about how working parents can strategically get time back, not by “doing more,” but by removing things.
Not a productivity seminar.
Not a guilt trip.
Not “outsource everything.”
Just real, practical ways to stop being the default for every tiny decision.
If you want in, I’d love to see some familiar faces there. Registration link: https://www.bossofbothworlds.com/workshops

Boss of Both Worlds | Workflows for Working Parents 02/07/2026

This week, I traveled for work.

Being away from my kids was hard - I expected that.
What I didn’t expect was how heavy it would feel to come home sick, when all they wanted was to play, hang out, and reconnect.

And that’s when it hit me:
Coming home is sometimes harder than leaving.

Work travel as a parent isn’t just about time away. It’s about re-entry.
It’s stepping back into routines that shifted without you.
It’s carrying guilt for leaving and guilt for being exhausted when you return.
It’s feeling everywhere and nowhere at once.

You’re grateful for the career you worked hard for, and yet still deeply aware of what you missed.

As working parents, we carry a lot.

I shared more of this reflection — and the parts we don’t talk about enough — in this week’s newsletter.
