📢 LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: Senate Releases Farm Bill Text (Agriculture Act of 2026)

While we were at our annual conference, the Senate Agriculture Committee released its long-awaited Farm Bill text. For FDPIR warehouse directors their Tribal leaders, this draft introduces critical structural protections.

NAFDPIR Takeaways:
Warehouse Safeguards: Includes new statutory protections designed to mitigate future FDPIR warehouse disruptions and supply chain failures.
Tribal Management: Advances Tribal-led conservation, forest management, and expanded support for native seafood producers.
Next Steps: The Committee plans to mark up the legislation this July, though its final legislative path forward remains uncertain.
