We managed to sneak in one last hike before Rachael took off to conquer the Rebelle Rally with team Compass & Chaos Rebelle Rally Team! This summer season has been such a whirlwind of change and growth for both of us with new jobs, rehabbing a house, tons of travel, and a lot of time apart. Rachael has been working so hard to push herself outside of her comfort zone and it’s shown in her success at XOVERLAND Ranch and Overland Expo Foundation. It was nice to just suffer up a mountain together and sit at the top for a bit of peace before the end of the fall season. So much more change in on the way and we are stoked to see where it takes us.

AEV is proud to support Team #114 Compass and Chaos as they take on the 2026 Rebelle Rally behind the wheel of an AEV JL370 Wrangler.

Over the coming days, they’ll cover more than 2,600 kilometers across Utah, Nevada, and California—navigating deserts, mountains, and everything in between with nothing more than maps, compasses, roadbooks, and their own judgment. No GPS. No electronic navigation. No support crew.

This isn’t simply a race against the clock. It’s a test of precision, strategy, endurance, and the ability to make the right call when the easy answer isn’t available.

Good luck to Connie and Rachael 👏🏻👏🏻 We’ll be cheering you on from the start of the competition tomorrow in Las Vegas all the way to the finish in the Imperial Sand Dunes!

Leaf peeping season is upon us and while it’s a bit muted compared to previous years, it’s still so beautiful. We explored the St. Elmo area around to Hancock in the ol’ Discovery and she did great. It takes everything inside of me to not further modify this vehicle because it is so much fun to own. The plan was always to baseline the Disco and keep it as a be**er with a heater, but it is begging for a slight lift, new wheels, and some paint repair. Stick. To. The. Plan.

Soooo we did a thing. Inspired by THE KOOK stoked and his pop top 4runner, we cut a massive hole in our GX. Now we prepare for a troopy style interior and more adventure. If all goes well, both of our rigs will be out in Montana for The Big Thing at XOVERLAND Ranch !

The Grand Canyon is a place that I will never get tired of visiting. This was my 3rd time below the rim and I’m already scheming the next trip. We hiked the descent from Cottonwood to Phantom Ranch and the Colorado River. We were fortunate to have a Ranger and a visiting astronomer from the to walk us through using a telescope. We even got to see Saturn!
