🏅 Science Olympiad Success! 🏅

We are excited to share highlights from the North Carolina Science Olympiad Division B Raleigh Regional Tournament held on March 28, 2026!

Our students proudly represented TMSA Triangle Cary with excellence, enthusiasm, and incredible teamwork. Science Olympiad is a nationally recognized STEM competition that challenges students through hands-on events in areas like engineering, earth science, circuit design, and more—encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.

This year, we brought two teams to compete, with a total of 30 dedicated students:

🎉 Congratulations to Swathi P., a 4th grade student at TMSA Triangle Cary — State Level Winner of the Presidential AI Challenge!

We’re excited to celebrate Swathi, a student in Mrs. Raynor’s Computer Science class, for this outstanding achievement 👏

Her innovative AI project helps students build friendships by matching them based on shared interests, while also giving teachers a thoughtful tool to support student well-being.

Next up, Swathi will compete in the Regional Virtual Challenge on April 19th, with a chance to advance to the national stage in Washington, DC!

Special Recognition

Ikeesha K. was nominated for the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge, a prestigious honor recognizing the top 10% of middle school competitors nationwide. She now has the opportunity to compete for an all-expenses-paid trip to Finals Week in Washington, DC this October, where finalists can win up to $25,000.

We are incredibly proud of all our students for their hard work, dedication, and passion for science.
