What students are saying about The Soft Skill Set! 🌟 This workshop isn’t a regular ‘boring’ class. Our workshops are designed for teens to have fun, feel comfortable, open up, and actually remember the skills we teach!

The heart of The Skill Set Collective is helping teens feel prepared as they step into the real world. As moms and educators, we’ve seen the soft skill gap firsthand and are passionate about equipping today’s teens with the confidence and communication skills that will take them further in life.💫

☎️💬Many of the skills we developed as kids, like making a phone call, navigating a conversation with a family member, or interacting with friends in person, came naturally through experience and practice.

📲Today, those social interactions can feel less natural, as connecting often looks like texting or sending TikToks back and forth.

🤝Our goal is to give teens hands-on practice so these essential skills become second nature.

This week we had the opportunity to tour High Point University, The Premier Life Skills University. ✨What a treat to visit this beautiful campus and witness how every aspect is intentionally designed to instill life skills and create an inspiring environment. It was a powerful reminder of how essential life skills are in setting students up for success in both their lives and careers.💼💫

Social skills aren’t “extra” — they’re essential. ✍️

Research from Harvard Business Review found:
▪️Jobs requiring high social interaction have grown nearly 12% since 1980.
▪️ Workers with strong foundational skills (like communication & social skills) earn higher wages and move into advanced roles sooner.
▪️ Technical skills now have a “half-life” of 2–4 years, while soft skills stay relevant for life.

Soft skills are best learned early, which is exactly why created The Skill Set Collective. Teens deserve the confidence and tools to thrive in school and in the workforce.💫💼
