My first DNF! (Did Not Finish)

TBH feels like an accomplishment in itself haha. We were “running” on 4 hours of sleep and no breakfast in our systems.

Today, the cold rainy weather and muddy terrain won, but we’re still all smiles because Alhamdulillah for trying. We got about halfway through and decided to call it quits.

Plus, the 5K was for Palestine, so I don’t regret one bit of it.

Back to patient care tomorrow! What’s everyone else up to this weekend?

I had such a fun time doing injury screens at yesterday and I’m so grateful to everyone who trusted my expertise in helping them to move better, with less pain, and a whole lot more confidence!

So, I’m back with my practice for more FREE injury screens this Tuesday, April 28th. This time I’ll be set up at 5 PM to 8 PM — you can sign up for a 15 min slot to guarantee your spot via the QR code (or link in my bio), or you are welcome to walk-in!

There’s no greater part of my job than connecting with you, learning what is important to adding joy and purpose to your life, and working with you to get you there.

Investing in myself is scary, because investing in myself means believing in myself. That I can help people, educate them on healthy movement and injury management, and that I can do it without working for someone else this time.

But this is real (Alhamdulillah). Sometimes having events or patients lined up helps me internalize the fact that this is really happening.

That’s why I’m beyond excited to have TWO injury screening opportunities coming up in the next week (and some more on the way with Bull City Running Co, We’re Not Really Runners Run Club, Burn Boot Camp, and more!!)

The most demoralizing run I’ve completed in a long while, but Alhamdulillah anyways.

Sister ’s halaqa at on Monday night really stuck with me — we spend our lives looking at everyone else’s blessings and ignoring their tests, but then do the opposite when it comes to our own selves.

This run was both a blessing and a test. After routing us to the wrong and stressing about how I’d ever have a full caseload the whole car ride, I struggled more during these 2 miles than I expected. BUT I got out there, I moved my body, and then we got amazing pizza at right after.

Really looking forward to the hilly test and blessing that the Tar Heel Ten Miler will be this weekend. Because Alhamdulillah no matter what.

There’s nothing more important in life than the people you surround yourself with. The people who believe in you and support you before you’ve even proven yourself.

This past weekend I treated my first patient as part of my first PT practice: With Ease Physical Therapy LLC ()

I’ve doubted myself nonstop, even after I formed the LLC, even after I joined to take care of my credentialing, scheduling, and EMR needs, even after creating my website and reflecting on my board certification.

I was convinced I’d never get a first client, I now have more than one Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah.

I was sure that no one would trust me enough to be a cash pay client. I was wrong Alhamdulillah.

To my sweet husband, my family, my in-laws, my friends, and all of you: thank you for believing in me, especially when I’ve been hard on myself. Thank you to the people in my life who encourage me, help me network and market, show up to literally set up the clinic space for me — the definition of community and love.
