Either Moore County Sheriff’s Dept needs to take over our MCS police force immediately or whomever is responsible for the lack of recruiting for the open SRO positions needs to be fired immediately. We should NEVER have gotten to this point. If you dont want David Hensley squawking, then stop giving him something to squawk about. Central Office, Locklear and the school board walk into this chaos every single time. When will we EVER be PROACTIVE in Moore County Schools? How long do we go with that many unfilled, highly important positions before something happens?

We are back to school here in Moore County and we haven't heard much about the Title IX ruling that went into effect in NC on August 1st.

What does it mean for our MoCo students?

Well, legally it means biological males who identify as female are welcome in female private spaces and vice versa. 26 states have disputed the new gender rules and are exempt from following the new version of Title IX. NC ISN'T one of those states.

If you are running for office in November, you should have to communicate your stance on this. If you say nothing, we can assume you fully support the Biden administration changes.

For any that want to gather tomorrow to pray for Moore County:
Meet at the front entrance to the Pinecrest High School (PHS) Auditorium tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 11:00 AM for a period of community prayer for the victim, the families, students, the intervening school resource officer (SRO), administrators, and teachers who took action and were directly impacted by the tragic attack earlier today. In the midst of tragedy, there were young heroes who emerged today.

THIS SATURDAY, 1-5 PM, SCC DEMPSEY STUDENT CENTER: In addition to visiting with public, charter, and private school reps, parents can learn more about home learning by visiting with representatives from North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE) and support groups Christian Home Educators of the Sandhills (CHES) and HOPE in the Sandhills. Representatives from the classical Christian home school program Classical Conversations will be present, as well as Liberty University Online Academy, North Carolina Virtual Public School, and Moore County Schools Connect Virtual Academy.
