“Create a caricature of me and my job based on everything you know about me.”

I tried the trend.

And what I got wasn’t just a fun caricature — it was a reminder of something bigger:

👉 The quality of AI output depends on the quality of the prompt.

That’s where prompt engineering comes in.

We often think AI is “smart enough” to figure things out.
But AI doesn’t guess — it responds to instructions. Clear context, constraints, tone, structure, and intent dramatically change the result.

Prompt engineering isn’t just typing a question. It’s a skill.

It requires:
• Clear thinking
• Structured communication
• Understanding how AI interprets language
• Iteration and refinement
• Creativity + logic combined

The better the prompt, the better the output.

But like any tool, AI prompting has pros and cons.

✅ Pros of Prompting in AI
• Speeds up content creation
• Enhances creativity and brainstorming
• Automates repetitive tasks
• Supports decision-making with structured outputs
• Makes complex ideas easier to visualize

⚠️ Cons (If Used Carelessly)
• Poor prompts = misleading or low-quality results
• Over-reliance can weaken critical thinking
• Bias in prompts can lead to biased outputs
• Requires validation — AI isn’t always accurate
• Without domain knowledge, results can feel “confident but wrong”

The truth?
AI doesn’t replace expertise. It amplifies it.

The future isn’t just about knowing AI.
It’s about knowing how to communicate with AI.

And that’s a skill worth developing.

Have you tried the caricature trend yet?
What did your AI version of you look like?

Kayo rin ba? Mas gusto nyo ung isip ng isip? 🤣🤣🤣

Wala pa tayong new vlog. Pilitin ko mag upload bukas. 😆

That was 10 years ago na rin pala noh?

It was the year that

..I started my career in the Analytics industry. Literally shifted from Accounting to Analytics.
..I learned a lot about how to think critically.
..I learned Advanced and complex Excel, Macros. VBAs and Pivots.
..started with PowerBI.
..started to refine how I communicate.
..started to learn most from other like-minded people.

Pero ang pinakamemorable? I met a very brilliant group of analysts. The very first team I belonged to, na sobrang dami kong takehome. Wala akong masabi. We shared and exchanged different skillsets that led us to where we are right now sa mga individual careers namin. Proud ako sa narating naming anim (at andito pa rin kami sa same industry). Mas naenhance EQ ko kasi they let me realize how things should be viewed na hindi parating talino lang ang kelangan. They are one of my core reasons kaya sobrang napamahal ako sa industry.

Kayo ba, anong kwentong 2016 Data/Analytics journey mo?

P.S. (Kasi ginamitan rin namin ng Analysis if anong movie and ishoshow namin na makakarelate ang mga tao that year! 😂)

P.P.S. Find me! 🤣

Medyo nabusy, and di pa nakakapag-upload, pipilitin ko this week para sa mga followers natin! Salamat po sa support!

Fun fact: Before moving to the United States a little over a year ago, I was part of a Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Team that handles new employee orientations. (Nasa Recruitment Data & Analytics ako).

It's different for me today. I'm on the other side of the house, an attendee. A new hire.

I'm still over the moon joining one of 2025 Forbes top 1000 America's Best Companies.

Luck? Siguro 1%. I don't believe too much in luck, sa lotto siguro. Everything is hardwork, strategy and planning, proper mindset and support.

How IQ and EQ plays a great role in landing a job is a consideration you shouldn't miss, either. Kaya sobrang importante ng work relationships, not burning bridges sa mga boss mo, at ung attitude mo. Always always stay your feet on the ground. Hindi pwedeng magaling lang. Realidad tayo parati-- we rely on what we can do, not too much on what others can do for us. Di pwedeng take lang ng take.

2025 was a year of turnovers and growth.

2026 will be a year more for sustainability and increased excellence.

Spreading success dust for every path you're aiming to achieve and ace this year!

Prior to joining Analytics world, I spent my first 4 years sa Accounting field:

Tax Planning Assistant
Accounting Assistant
Accounting Specialist (Audit of receipts data against company policies)

So Data Audit. It turns out, may pagkakaiba sa world nila. Though, gumagamit pa rin naman nhg Excel. Mas data focused lang ung Data Audit hahaha

Pero sobrang saya ko. Nahanap ko yung tamang industry ko.
Ito nga pala ung first role ko sa Data world. 2016 ito.

Almost 10 years after. Andito pa rin. 💓

Kayo ba, anong first role nyo sa Data/Analytics?

Certified ako by Microsoft as Excel Expert at sa Power BI.

1. To add credentials para may dagdag points para mapromote or may mas chance mahire.

If forced ka to certify or get certifications ng walang strong foundations, tapos pagdating ng applications, may case study, tapos di mo nameet ung expectation ng employers, that leads sometimes sa frustrations.

Nonetheless, walang masama. Sadyang importante lang dapat ng mindset for things.

Analysts analyze things. Dapat isa din toh sa inaanalyze natin.

A good dashboard gets you commendation. A great and a driving one opens opportunity.

7 months ago, our small family took a huge leap and took the risk of moving from Southern California to Northern California because I landed my first job here in the US as a Data Analytics Consultant in a start-up located in San Francisco/Bay Area, and I was deployed to a client.

I worked hard and smart (I believe 😅) and made sure I deliver to client's expectations, and sometimes beyond. Didn't know and it's the least I expect... that... it will be...

..my plot twist this year.

Fast forward to this month, I took my shot and was offered a very good opportunity with this the same client - one of the largest Utility & Electric companies in the US, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E).

I was offered a Principal/Manager Role in Analytics. 🥹.

We're back on track. 🤩❤️

Kaya natin. Kaya pa rin pala natin! 💪💓

Thank you, Lord, for giving our family the best Christmas gift just yet!

2025 is really a year of growth, and we are more than thankful for all the blessings.

2026, let us get it on!
