Welcome to the Little Paws Design Shop 🐾

Our Graphic Arts students had the absolute best time hosting a session for the annual CACC Teddy Bear Clinic!

Preschoolers from Carrollton, Bosworth, Santa Fe, Keytesville, and Brunswick brought their favorite teddy bears and stuffed animals after visiting the Health Occupations students for a “check-up.” 🧸🩺

They also stopped by the FFA program to plant a flower seed in celebration of Earth Day, while Teaching Professions students helped guide them from room to room throughout the experience.

Once they made it to our shop, the fun continued! Students handed out coloring pages, crayons, and stickers, then helped each special patient get their very own custom bandana. 🎨✨

To top it all off, each preschooler snapped a photo with their furry friend so our Graphic Arts students can turn those memories into personalized sublimated coasters!

So many smiles, creativity, and hands-on learning all in one day—we love being part of such a special experience! 🐻

Our gold medalists have qualified for the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, GA this June, where they will compete against students from across the nation, including Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam.

The CACC Graphic Arts students teamed up with the CACC FFA students to create two custom game boards that will be donated to the YMCA Auction.

This project was a great example of students combining creativity and craftsmanship while gaining valuable hands-on experience. Graphic Arts students worked on the design and visual elements while the FFA students helped bring the boards to life through construction.

Opportunities like this allow our students to collaborate across programs, apply their skills in real-world projects, and give back to our community. We appreciate the continued community support that makes experiences like this possible!

CACC students participated in the NW District SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference.

Congratulations to the following students for earning Gold medals in their competitions:

Jaydin Johnson, Kaylyn Swan, and Jullian Cardenas – Promotional Bulletin Board

We’re excited to share a chocolate-themed donation basket our CACC Graphic Arts program designed and created for the upcoming CCMH Foundation Chocolate Brunch!

What’s included in our basket:
• Two engraved travel tumblers
• Hershey’s, Reese’s, & York hot cocoa mixes
• Everything Chocolate cookbook
• Lindt gourmet chocolate truffles
• Custom-made apron, cutting board, and tea towel

Every piece was thoughtfully selected to keep the basket 100% chocolate-themed—and we’re pretty proud of how it turned out! We love to use our design skills to support our community.

The Graphic Arts three-hour block classes recently welcomed Kristine Molloy, Director of My Hometown Carrollton, as a special guest speaker. Mrs. Molloy shared with students all about the mission of My Hometown Carrollton and the many ways the organization supports and promotes our community.

Susan Frank was also able to join the afternoon session, and as a member of the Design Committee, she provided additional insight into the banner selection process and the impact of these designs on the Carrollton Square.

Students will now begin creating original banner designs that will be displayed downtown. Once designs are selected by the My Hometown Carrollton board, students will have the opportunity to print the banners that will be hung around the square.

We are excited for this real-world design experience and proud to partner with an organization that makes such a positive impact in our community!

We were excited to welcome former CACC Graphic Arts student Savannah Reinke back to speak with our current Graphic Arts classes. Savannah shared her experiences in the CACC program and how the skills she gained have helped prepare her for college and beyond.

Savannah is currently studying at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, majoring in Mass Communications Journalism, and minoring in Marketing and Graphic Design. She also serves as a Producer for Husky Productions.

During her presentation, Savannah highlighted how the Graphic Arts program provided a strong foundation in design principles and hands-on experience with Adobe software, which has been instrumental in her academic and professional success. We are proud of Savannah and grateful she took the time to inspire our students.
