Sigma Alpha Omega at UWG

Our Story

The Pi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Omega National Sorority Inc. was founded on March 10th 2006. Since then the chapter developed campus recognition with the University of West Georgia in 2014. The chapters works towards spreading Christ’s love around the community and campus while also creating a loving and welcoming sisterhood for current, future, and past sisters of the chapter and national organization. Origins of Name:

Colors:

National:
~Crimson and Forest Green~
These are similar colors found on the first SAO letter shirts, presented to the founding sisters by the brothers of Chi Alpha Omega."

Chapter:
~Pink and Yellow~
These are our adopted colors chosen by the Founding pledge class.

Slogan:
"One in Christ through Unity in Sisterhood."

Song:
Our chapter sorority song is "This is Your Life" by Switchfoot.
