The Rangers starting to begin work on the chassis!
Chassis design and build is always a great opportunity to help bring new members up to speed on proper workshop safety and methods.
Connor also got to mentor on of the newest member of the FLL team “RoboEagles” in programming an EV3 robot!
Field Kit complete! (We'll mark it of when the blue gaffer tape arrives). Excited about this year's challenge!

Members of Team 9010 met up yesterday to celebrate their 2021/2022 Freight Frenzy w/ some bowling, video games, gifts and delicious cake!
Once again, kudos to the team for a job well done!

POPCS CLASS OF '22 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🦅🎓 Alex Moeder
Alex has been at POPCS since 1st grade. He has been involved with both FTC Robotics and FRC Robotics and was a big part of the 2022 TAPPS State Champion Robotics Team. Alex has also been involved with baseball and cross country and is a member of the ping pong club. Alex’s favorite POPCS memories have all come through robotics competitions: Second place at the world championship, TAPPS state runner up in 2021, and the TAPPS State Champion this year. It’s no surprise that Alex will study engineering in college! He will attend Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, one of the top undergraduate engineering programs in the US! He plans to major in mechanical engineering and minor in robotic engineering. Congratulations, Alex! We are praying for you and your bright future!
This past week the Robotic Rangers FTC Robotics Team was honored by their City of Carrollton Mayor and City Council for their TAPPS Texas State Championship!

FTC Team 9010 finished Qualifier Play ranked 11th (of 33) and was picked by the #1 Ranked team (12928) to joint their playoff alliance w/ Team 11093.
Going 4-1 in playoff matches, the Robotic Rangers helped to win the 2nd finals match 251-207 (best of 3) and secure the TAPPS Tx State Robotics Championship for the trio!

Team built this chassis in two meetings (3 hours) and learned how to use the horizontal band saw as well!
The "Alliance proxy" and "Driving teacher" bot should be completed and online by Saturday!

Fellow FIRST robotics colleagues. We have been afforded a unique outreach opportunity this season, partnering with our local police department. And now we need your help!
Our school resource officers have been field testing a custom CAD designed, 3D printed protective case for the NARCAN dispenser they carry on duty.
We would like to have these field tested on a much larger scale. Details are all in the 72 second video.
Please watch the video and if you can download the .STL file, print off a few and offer them to your local police, fire and first responders to field test, that would be great.
The .STL file is Creative Commons, so please distribute freely, modify as necessary and of course, provide comments/suggestions with your Team number and possibly photos of you and your local heroes so we can ensure we give credit to teams able to help out!

Team 9010 Completes a very successful Qualifier and advances to the North TX Regional Championship in a month.
Team 9010 won Robot Game and was Winning Alliance (x3 teams) Captain as well as some awards -
