뉴포트 뉴스, 버지니아 — 한 아버지와 딸이 거의 100년 된 가족 레시피를 활용하여 사업을 시작하고 함께하는 시간을 선물하고 있습니다.

몇 년 전, 스콧 피더칙(Scott Fiedorczyk)의 어머니는 돌아가시기 전 그에게 "사랑한다"는 쪽지와 함께 소스 레시피를 주었습니다. 이 레시피는 그녀의 어머니로부터 물려받은 것이었습니다.

2024년, 피더칙 가족은 마야의 증조할머니인 "나나" 메이블 코커(Mable Coker)의 이름을 따서 공식적으로 '나나 소스(NaNa Sauce)'를 출시했습니다.

스콧과 마야는 버지니아 비치의 애쉬번 소스 컴퍼니(Ashburn Sauce Co.)에서 제조한 1,500병의 소스를 6개월 만에 이스트 비치 파머스 마켓, 온라인 및 기타 장소에서 판매했습니다. 그러다 스콧은 푸드 라이언(Food Lion)에 연락하여 소스를 매장 진열대에 올릴 수 있는지 문의했습니다. 그의 판매 전략은 다음과 같았습니다: 이 제품은 이미 시장성이 입증되었고, 그는 수십 년간 그곳에서 쇼핑했으며, 마야가 그곳에서 4년째 풀타임으로 일하고 있다는 점이었습니다. 그는 과정이 길었지만, 8월에 그의 목표가 현실이 되었다고 말했습니다.

LISD Families,

Please note, the district does not send out emails or other forms of communication if there are no changes to the regular school day or after school activities.

It is possible for weather and road conditions to vary greatly across LISD, and the connectivity of our transportation system, which spans 127 square miles, impacts school closure decisions. We’re unable to make a decision for just one campus or area of our district, but rather must take into consideration all of the 13 different municipalities our district serves. For that reason, parents are the ultimate decision-makers on whether or not their students will attend school, and should notify the school as they would for any absence if the parent chooses to keep their student home.

EIS FAMILY A38 is a non-profit organization serving adults with developmental disabilities (Down syndrome, autism, intellectual disabilities).
Our core values are Christ-centered, special needs-focused, and community-based.
Our weekday program serves adults 18 and older, operating Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. We provide training in independent living skills, communication skills, and leisure activities.
Our Saturday program runs from 9:45 AM to 1 PM, offering worship, crafts, art, therapeutic activities, taekwondo, and music classes for meaningful weekends.
