The University of North Carolina TEACCH® Autism Program is a University-based system of community regional centers that offer a set of core services along with unique demonstration programs meeting the clinical, training, and research needs of autistic individuals, their families, and professionals across North Carolina. TEACCH offers clinical services for individuals on the autism spectrum across

the lifespan. Services are offered to residents of North Carolina and are designed to promote communication, executive function, social skills, and emotion regulation. Parent coaching is provided to help parents understand their child’s unique learning styles. TEACCH offers a variety of training (virtual and in-person) and consultation programs to professionals who work with individuals on the autism spectrum. Our training program focuses on the learning styles of autism and the use of Structured TEACCHing strategies and visual supports to provide meaning, promote independence, and capitalize on individual strengths. TEACCH conducts clinical research focused on providing evidence-based care to autistic individuals and their families in their home communities. Our research examines intervention effectiveness in clinic, school, and community settings. The administrative headquarters of the TEACCH program are in Carrboro, North Carolina, and there are seven regional TEACCH Centers around the state of North Carolina. The UNC TEACCH Autism Program is accepting applications for 2027–2029 Postdoctoral Fellowships in Autism Spectrum Disorder at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The fellowship offers opportunities to combine clinical care, research, and teaching based on your experience and career goals.
Clinical opportunities may include:
• Diagnostic evaluations across the lifespan
• Individual and group interventions
• Early intervention and parent coaching
• Transition-age youth services
• Adult mental health and residential programs
Research opportunities include federally funded projects focused on autism in adolescence and adulthood, including transition to adulthood, mental health interventions, and service needs across the adult lifespan.

Applicants should have previous training in clinical and/or research activities focused on autism. Fellows from a range of backgrounds, including clinical, school, and developmental psychology and education, are encouraged to apply.
