NOTE: Authentic Relating Game Nights are inspired by the Game Nights held in San Francisco by authenticworld.org. (Small print: I am not representing AuthenticWorld, just a total lover of their work, wanting to share it.) vents. Have you ever had a conversation with someone where you found yourself hanging on their every word? Your heart is wide open, your eyes filled with tears, and the goofiest smile you’ve ever pulled is on your face? NC's Authentic Game Nights are designed to give you that same experience with people you’ve never met before. Game Nights are a space where you can discover how much more fun and richer it is to BE YOURSELF. The purpose of the group is to allow people to feel relaxed, open and inspired with other people who are tired of the same old boring encounters with “new people”. Sometimes loud, sometimes intensely quiet, sometimes risky. Always fun and revealing. We are tapping AuthenticWorld for fun and engaging games that we can play ourselves. WHAT ARE THE RULES OF GAMES NIGHTS?

• Do what you want to do
• Don't do what you don't want to do
• No hiding
• No shaming
• Be curious – about yourself and others

WHAT KIND OF GAMES ARE THESE?

• Imagine a fun playground where you can practice the art of relating with others but in a fun, social atmosphere. They are safe places for taking risks and playing a little more outside our comfort zones and the discovering more about ourselves than we might in our everyday lives.

• By ‘authentic’ we mean that there is no cookie-cutter mold for how you should be or what relating should look like. Everyone is a complete universe unto themselves, has a unique style, personality, and integrity that is perfectly *them*, and everyone is perfect and amazing as they are (including their belief that they aren’t.)

• These games are NOT board games like Chutes & Ladders and checkers. By ‘games’ we mean fun, social exercises that demonstrate and explore authentic relating, getting to know yourself better while at the same time learning to see and appreciate more about everyone you connect with.

• They’re also a chance to have fun and party in a conscious way with great people, going beyond small talk and expected social norms.

• All this is within a light-hearted container which is safe for getting real, taking emotional risks, and personal growth.

• Things to expect: laughter, relief, anxiety/excitement (and the wisdom to know the difference), reverence, love and connection, new friends, and new possibilities for how you engage the world

• These are fun, highly interactive activities done in both groups and with partners. WHO COMES TO GAME NIGHTS?

• All are welcome. Men and women, singles or not, are welcome to enjoy an evening with us while cultivating a deeper understanding of yourselves and what’s possible in your relationships.

• You want the opportunity to experience an open-hearted space where people get to “cut through the superficial” and be truly themselves without apology for an evening.

• You enjoy exciting, fun and very juicy social evenings with lots of laughs, plenty of insights, and sometimes sparks flying!

• You are looking for a real, authentic connection with new people and are prepared to take a risk to try something NEW. THIS SOUNDS VERY COOL. WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE?

Hey Everybody,

We are putting on a workshop next month on August 9th-11th called Aletheia, which is a three day deep dive into authentic relating, circling, self development and practicing. For this course we are flying out Authentic World co-founder and facilitators to help create an amazing event. So if you've enjoyed the games nights so far and want to experience a greater submersion, or if you've wanted to figure out how to apply this type of relating and expression to your life, join us at Aletheia.

In this intensive, we will engage in the practice of circling, which is one of the best ways we have found for creating powerful and deep intimacy in relationships. It is a practice that allows people to uncover their relational blind spots, and experience being seen for who they are, which can be tremendously rewarding.

If you come out you'll also:

-Find it easier, more comfortable and natural to fully Be Yourself and Express Yourself.
-Know wholeness, peace, freedom and love as an Embodied Experience.
-Set a new bar on the depth of intimacy available with your closest loved ones and strangers alike.
-Learn and practice relating with people in a way that opens eyes, minds, and hearts.
-See the unconscious water you’re swimming in and the new choices that are possible in your life.
-Have a deeper experience of connection with the whole that we’re living inside of.

We have people coming in from all over the United States to take the course, and it would be great to have all of our local community join in.
