We are still blown away by the incredible turnout and energy from last night’s Western Trails PTA Color Run! Thank you again to everyone who helped make this event such a colorful success.

We are so thankful for everyone who helped make this event such a huge success! Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers — from setting up, handing out donated water, throwing color chalk, cleaning up, and capturing all of these wonderful memories through photos. Events like this would not be possible without your time and support!

A huge thank you as well to all of the amazing Western Trails families who continue to come out and support our events year after year. Seeing our students, families, and staff having so much fun together made the night extra special! 💙💛

Special thanks to the Carol Stream Police Officers for joining us, encouraging our runners, and leading students in their warm-up exercises before the run. The kids absolutely loved it!

👟 This is a FREE event open to all students, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Western Trails Field Day is coming up on May 29, 2026, and we need your help!

🙋‍♀️ We are looking for:
✔️ 10 volunteers from 9:00–11:15 AM (Grades 3–5)
✔️ 10 volunteers from 1:00–3:15 PM (Grades K–2)

Our PE teacher, Mr. Lange, has planned tons of fun indoor and outdoor stations! Volunteers will be assigned to a station and help run it as classes rotate every 15–20 minutes.

That’s a wrap on Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week and it was ALL THAT and a bag of chips! 📼🍕🥗💿

Today our amazing staff, teachers, PTA members, and students totally rocked our 90s spirit day while enjoying a pizza party celebration! Huge THANK YOU to Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria and Portillo’s for the delicious donations of pizzas and salads that helped make our finale “da bomb!” 🍕🥗

From room service snacks to tacos, dirty sodas, sweet treats, and today’s pizza party, this week has truly been PHAT (Pretty Happy Awesome Teachers 😎). Our teachers and staff continue to school us every day with their dedication, patience, and heart — and we hope this week showed just how much they are appreciated! ✏️📚

A gigantic THANK YOU to all of the parents, donors, volunteers, and PTA members who helped make this the BEST WEEK EVER. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Now excuse us while we rewind our Walkmans, grab one more slice, and say… “Talk to the hand” because appreciation week is officially DONE! 🎶📼🍕

🎧✨ Today’s Staff Appreciation Theme: 90s Throwback! ✨🎧

As if! We’re totally all that and a bag of chips thanks to our amazing teachers and staff! 💾📚 From lesson plans to life lessons, they’ve been dropping knowledge like it’s hot since way before Wi-Fi was a thing.

Today’s event will be da bomb-stay tuned, and we couldn’t have done it without some phat support from our incredible donors: Bubbl’r, CeraVe, LMNT, Chipotle, and Ultima Replenisher! 💿🌮🥤 You helped us keep our staff feelin’ fresh, hydrated, and ready to keep schoolin’ like true 90s pros.
