Friends and Family...

Thanks to a very persuasive friend and his late night text, I am once again running the Chicago Marathon, but this year for a much better purpose than just to say “I did it”. I am running with Team World Vision to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in the developing world. I will do my part by doing the running and I would ask all of you to join me and donate what you can toward my fundraising efforts. the link to my donation page is attached below.

Team World Vision’s story is incredible and certainly makes me think differently every time I turn on the faucet for a drink of water or go outside to water the grass. (Honestly, I am not great at the grass stuff but I do drink a lot or water). The fact that anyone in a developing country would have to walk on average 6 kilometers to find water is crazy.

I know, there are always calls for donations for everything under the sun but I can’t imagine few things that are more meaningful than this. Frankly, with as many times as I have run the marathon, I can pretty much get in automatically and don’t need to gain entry through fundraising as I have in the past, but this spoke to me and hopefully it does to you as well.

These 4 guys played together in HS, they work together all summer and play more ball at night. Now they are Regional Champs and are headed to state playoffs to hopefully finish up their summer with a championship before they head their separate ways for college.

Happy Birthday Mom. We miss you every day.
