Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know we haven’t forgotten about you. We remember what year this is but have forgotten where the keys to the reunion are. They are around here so where. We will check our left pants pocket in the hamper.

I am grateful to have had a hand in connecting people but it also comes with the sadness that comes when receiving news of the passing of one of our own, Bev Swanson.

Attached is a pic of Bev and her love: Ellie.

The following was written by Frances Carbonnel, owner of Classical Legacy Dressage in Castle Rock:
"It is with deep sadness that I must announce the very sudden passing on June 29 of Beverly Swanson, editor of the RMDS Centaur and RMDS Communications Chairman. Beverly was a huge influence on RMDS for many years through her tireless volunteer efforts at horse shows, RMDS Championships , communications and in any other way she could find to be of help. And her devotion and professionalism in delivering a quality Centaur month after month demanded Herculean efforts as she dealt with debilitating chronic pain from hip and back issues for years, but she never wavered from her commitment.
Ironically, Beverly’s health had recently improved, she was largely pain free and was riding her beloved mare Ellie again. Hearing her praise Ellie with “Pretty mare! Pretty mare!” as she rode was one of the most joyful things that will remain in my memories of Beverly, because she was so happy and full of hope to be riding again after so many struggles. She was larger than life, full of orneriness, opinionated, feisty, and she wore her soft heart on a tough sleeve, but she was always so generous with her time, an absolutely unshakeable friend, one of the best folks to have on your side ever. She will leave huge holes that will be hard to fill, especially in the hearts of those that loved her. So long, dear friend-travel well and see you again someday!"
_____
We will miss you, Bev. May you RIP. Ellie will be well taken care of.

50th Reunion Update:

Those on the east coast, you may want to leave now. Single file and please 6 feet apart. Bring masks. It was hard enough to recognize people at the 40th reunion. Taking volunteers for memorizing foreheads from the yearbook.

What a great looking group of people. I was just reminded of the AHS72 FB page and thought I would check it out. We've all changed a lot since '72, but honestly, I wouldn't want to go back and do it all again. I don't want to muddle the memories. What a wonderful bunch of people to grow up with! Kevin

Our very good friend, Alan Cockrell, class of '72 passed away after a brief illness on April 13th. He had retired after 30 years from the Aurora Fire Department and when not at the fire station, he excelled at residential construction and vehicle restoration. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Lamb), class of '73. They were married for 45 years. They have 2 sons, 3 grandchildren and a step-grandson.
