Carlyle Bookmobile

Carlyle Bookmobile The current Carlyle Bookmobile began in the summer of 2008 serving the communities of Keyesport and Royal Lake.

Soon Shattuc became a stop, and it became increasingly apparent that the little football equipment trailer that housed the books in the off season wasn't big enough to store our literary treasures. Fast forward to 2015 when Noah Straeter, an Eagle Scout candidate, heard about our plight and decided to make purchasing a trailer and renovating it to a library on wheels his Eagle Scout Project. The current Carlyle Bookmobile makes stops at Keyesport, Royal Lake, Shattuc, and Hoffman.

Volunteers will be at all locations Monday morning to collect books checked out this summer. If you are unable to return during the designated time, please have a student bring the books back when school starts. Let the teacher or office know they belong to the bookmobile. 😊

As we roll into a brand-new season of the Carlyle Bookmobile, we want to give a huge shoutout to the amazing Patty Tate, our founder, for taking the lead in refreshing our book collection! 🌟

We’re also incredibly grateful for the help of her fantastic student assistants, Karson and Riley, who brought energy and teamwork to the process.

And a special thank you to Kristina Kuhl for stepping in to help them wrap things up!
