With fierce determination, she wheeled, she hobbled, AND she chalked with a broken leg! Several years ago, our fearless leader Laurie Busse attended Bountiful Chalk Art Festival hosted by the non-profit organization Joy Foundation Projects and envisioned bringing the community of Carlton it's own chalk art festival, and Carlton Chalk Walk was born.

Many volunteers, the City of Carlton and local businesses contributed to the success of Carlton Chalk Walk for the last 5 years. Our sincere gratitude to them for their support by joining with us in building strong community relationships through the arts.

Proceeds benefit Yamhill-Carlton Child Development Center - YCCDC a non-profit child care organization for low income working families in our community.

Thank you Laurie and our amazing Carlton community!

We just need to share THIS magical moment from Carlton Chalk Walk 2021!

Maggie Fromme Bowman was a featured artist this year. As a teacher in the Yamhill-Carlton School District for many years, Maggie had the honor of mentoring two of her students who also participated in Carlton Chalk Walk, Nate Brown, featured artist, and Abby Conn, Best of Show winner at this year's event.

Maggie, Nate and Abby lead the way in teaching us how relationships can be built and communities strengthened through the arts.

A hearty shout out to our amazing community artists!
