cellence and meeting the needs of the students it serves. The academic core courses are rigorous in nature and provide access to the AICE Curriculum through Cambridge University. Those students earning an AICE Diploma have direct access to the Bright Futures Scholarship. The elective courses serve a wide variety of interests including: art, music, culinary (working towards certifications), technology (certifications earned beginning in 2013-2014 school year), JROTC, foreign languages (including American Sign Language), health science courses, OJT, and internships. While our school is small in size comparatively to other high schools in the areas we strive to meet the interests of every child through a creative approach to placement into internship experiences. The excitement around being a small school, beyond the community feel everyone mentions, is the collective ability to create opportunities for student learning outside the norm when necessary to meet their personal desires. The focus on students is a top priority in our daily focus and as we plan for the future. The students we serve are above the bar and we are extremely fortunate to have many students who are driven academically and are interested in performing on a high level. Beyond academics our students often look to engage and serve beyond the classroom regularly. Oasis High School earned an A+ school grade (as defined by the State of Florida) every year since its inception. Our composite score that was comprised of the Florida State indicators continues to be the highest among high schools in Lee County. Oasis High is on track to have a 100% graduation rate and a 100% college/career placement for the Spring of 2016. Our average high school student earns 36 college credits through AICE, AP and DE curriculum.
